Today, Sunday, Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed – President of Aswan University Starting the activities of the cooperation protocol between the two parties in the presence of Dr. Ayman Othman – Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research and Dr. Muhammad Ezzat – Deputy Minister of Endowments in Aswan, Dr. Farid Abdel Zahir, former Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, and Dr. Muhammad Abu Al-Sheikh Dean of the College of Dar Al Uloom and the trainees of imams and preachers
Prof. Ahmed Ghallab welcomed the attendees and appreciated the importance of cooperation between the Ministry of Endowments, led by Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar Jomaa, Minister of Endowments, and Aswan University, to train imams and preachers, which aim to qualify imams and develop their intellectual and cultural capabilities towards the sciences of the Qur’an and the Sunna of the Prophet in various current religious issues.
Prof. Ahmed Ghallab added that this is among the activities of the protocol signed between the Ministry of Endowments and Aswan University regarding training imams and preachers to raise awareness and education about current issues in several areas, including in the sciences of Arabic language and literature and their fields of psychology, communication skills and the art of recitation, and the protocol includes the Faculties of Arts, Science House, And social service Medicine.
Dr. Ayman Othman, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, indicated that it was agreed between the two parties to open the door for registration for masters and doctorates at the university for imams and preachers, provided that the tuition fees are equal, and this comes within the framework of the state’s interest in blaming and preachers, developing religious discourse and fighting destructive ideas.
Dr. Mohammed Ezzat said Undersecretary of the Ministry of Awqaf and Aswan to the importance of training and qualification for imams and preachers to keep pace with modern developments that have taken place on stressing the community the importance of this protocol with the Aswan University, which represents the science and the face of Undersecretary thanks and appreciation to Dr. Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa and Minister of Awqaf interest imams and preachers.
