The Aswan University Council, in its session held on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, headed by Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, Acting President of the University, expressed his sincere condolences and condolences to the families of the victims of the Sohag train accident, stressing that Aswan University is the leadership, faculty members, administrative staff and students who offer sincere condolences to the families The victims wish God Almighty to dwell in them in His spaciousness, to inspire their families and relatives with patience and solace, and to bless the injured with a speedy recovery.
Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, Acting President of the University and the University Council, wished for a speedy recovery to Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Muhammad, the former President of the University, and continued health and wellness.
The work of the Council No. (104) was inaugurated by Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, acting president of the university, in the presence of Dr. Magdi Muhammad Ali, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and in the presence of the deans of the colleges and the university president’s advisors.

The Council also approved the establishment of a postgraduate phase at the College of Commerce, and the Council approved the establishment of a postgraduate phase at the College of Al-Alsun.
The Council approved the promotion of a number of faculty members, the rank of 1 professor from the College of Engineering and the rank of 2 assistant professors from the College of Science and the rank of 2 teachers from the College of Education, 1 from the College of Engineering, and 1 from the College of Agriculture. The Board also approved granting 2 degrees from the College of Science. One from the College of Engineering, one from the College of Engineering, one from the College of Medicine, two from the College of Education, one from the College of Science, and one from the College of Engineering, and one from the College of Energy Engineering in various scientific disciplines.
