Prof. Ahmad Ghalab – President of Aswan University \u2013 announced about the University preparation for holding the exams of first semester which are scheduled to be held after the end of the mid-year vacation, starting on February 20, declared that there is a strict plan to apply \u00a0\u00a0precautionary measures to prevent the emerging corona virus.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

Prof. Ahmad Ghallab added that examination schedules for all faculties will be announced respectively in order\u00a0students and academic staff prepare for works\u2019 exams, and the extent of the final preparations for the works of the first semester exams 2020\/2021, University has ability through which it can provide well-ventilated halls for examination committees and take into account social spacing of one and a half meters between each student with wearing medical masks in various faculties with applying all precautionary measures in light of confronting the emerging Corona Virus, in order to ensure the safety of students, academic staff and their assistants, and all university employees; as well as works to harness all the university\u2019s capabilities to run the works of the exams and, work to success the first semester exams in light of the exceptional circumstances which\u00a0 the country is going through.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cGhallab\u201d explained that the university is striving to conduct examinations electronically, starting from the next year, within the framework of the university\u2019s plan for digital transformation, stressing the importance of the digital transformation and working on the university\u2019s commitment and full keenness to implement the state\u2019s directives.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications to Transforming Egyptian universities into smart universities.<\/span>
\nThe university president added that Aswan University has good ingredients in terms of technological infrastructure and availability of the Internet, whose efficiency has recently been upgraded, and that the university has a unified electronic platform for distance learning and the processing of electronic examination centers at the university is being finalized in addition to the equipped research laboratories whose results have emerged in the investigation Aswan University has advanced centers in international scientific rankings, and that the university works within the framework of achieving Egypt\u2019s vision and strategy for comprehensive development 2030.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cGhalab\u201d indicated that the university\u2019s preparations for receiving the second semester are underway by preparing classrooms and research laboratories in the various campuses of the university in the deserts of the new city of Aswan and university cities.<\/span>
\nAnd work to implement all precautionary measures to confront the new Corona virus from sterilizing buildings and gates with self-sterilization, and to carry out spraying and sterilization work on a regular basis for educational establishments, availability of temperature measuring devices and ensuring that these measures are applied in order to ensure the safety of students.<\/span>
\nAnd to stand on the extent of the colleges\u2019 readiness to receive students to complete the study for the second semester of this year in light of the implementation of precautionary measures, within the framework of the directives of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar \u2013 Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Supreme Council of Universities.<\/span><\/p>\n
